So im almost a week into this Amazing game and everytime i log in to play i find myself taking more and more of these beautiful screenshots. Be it be a vista, one of the trickier parts of the game which has you jumping around in crazy places to get to a breathtaking view, in which i find it the perfect time to be a photographer and click away or just running around a stopping for a second to take in the scenery, this game has the most beautiful world i have ever been a part of 🙂

So i thought i would share with you some of my favourite shots from my journey. Please enjoy 🙂

My Guild Wars 2 Pre Release Time.

The gorgeous view from a windmill in Queensdale.

The stage was set, I had my night supply of goodies to keep me going for a decent amount of launch gaming, my friends were organised to come over later to play the launch aswell.  As soon as Arenanet announced that servers might be going up 3 hours earlier than expected I planned my afternoon by sitting in front of the computer from 2pm aussie time, listening to my my fave blog Tales Of Tyria who were doing a pre release show for the launch……I was excited.  At 2 i logged on to the blog when people in the chat started posting that the game was online!!!  I hadn’t even tried to log in yet and at first thought they were kidding around, after about 4 seconds it got the better of me so i tried to log in and GOT STRAIGHT IN!!!

The rest of the afternoon went like this: log in make quick characters to save names that i didn’t have in GW1 ( i ended up getting only 1 out of 4)  moving worlds several times due to others in our group missing out and servers filling up suuuper fast!!! Playtime was minimal because we were all buzzing around trying to work out what class we want to play first.

After dinner we all sat down to play, made our characters then about 1 hour into it THE SERVERS WENT DOWN!!!!!!

WAAAAAHHHHHH.

We spent the rest of the night eating a bucketload of lollies sitting around watching funny utube video’s people were posting on the GW2 facebook page and reading all the whinging going on whilst we had another 2 people sitting trying to log in to the game.

The game finally went back up at 1.30am our time by this stage we were all feeling super sick and our eyes almost bleeding from staring at the computer screen watching stupid movies.  We managed to get about an hour of gameplay in before we all came down from our sugar high’s and decided to call it a night.

The next day however we made up for our lost night and happily guilded it almost all day and most of the night 🙂

I still am super impressed with this game and have had an awesome pre purchase time, bring on many more hours of fun times in Tyria 🙂

The Time Is Near.

And so we are edging closer to the final countdown to the much anticipated Guild Wars 2.  I have to let everybody know that this blog is probably going to turn into a Full GW2 blog for a while as i have been waiting to play this game for what feels like forever so i will be putting a LOT of time into this game 🙂

I will be probably be posting about my Characters adventures out in the world of Tyria as i am more into the PVE side of things and not so much SPVP.  I haven’t made up my mind about WvWvW yet,  I have had a tiny look at it in the stress test and BWE’s and to be honest it didn’t sweep me off my feet like the PVE has, but ya never know i’ll prob join a guild and have a ball in WvWvW and to be honest i hope that happens because all i know is going in there by yourself when you have no clue what’s going on and then  running to a battle site on the map then getting absolutley hammered in 2 secs by about 20 opposeing players, only to resurect way back where you started from 😦

I’m just so excited about the PVE, I have already organised all my character slots for launch with names and professions already chosen.  And since I have played thru all the starting zones already and a couple of them more than once and i’m still pumped to jump back in there and do it all again and again……..and i’m not even in the slightest bit bored of it……that’s awesome in my books!!!

So if your interseted in the PVE side of the game, this blog will prob be for you 🙂

For those of you interested my characters ingame will be as follows:  Human/Ele as my main, Norn/Guardian will also be a main, Sylvari/Mesmer or Necromancer and a Asuran/Ranger which i havent got a name for yet, It has me completley stuck??? (any ideas would be greatly apreciated) I played an Asuran/Ranger for the last few Betas and love the look of a tiny Asuran with a Giant sword and an Animal pet that’s bigger than me 🙂

So from now till then, sit tight, stock up on food supplies and get lots of sleep and exersize in preperation for the marathon launch session to come!!

I Play Foresaken World.

Image

Well i did have a heap of beautiful screen shots of this game but their in the wrong format so i can’t upload them right now 😦

So i have decided to go back to Foresaken world to try to cure my boredom from waiting for GW2.  I played Foresaken world back when it first released and i liked it, The only thing that stopped me continuing playing it was all my friends were still playing Guild Wars so i went back and joined them.

The character creation isn’t too bad although all the females are wearing very minimal when you first start, but it’s not too bad, If you can put up with it for the beginning the armour later down the track is pretty Awesome, as well as the weapons!!

Now this game is pretty easy, and i think a lot of people have conquered it and left it seems as the servers are nowhere near as busy as what they were when i played the first time. There’s auto run for the quests, aswell as most of the mobs won’t agro you unless you attack them first. There is a few selected mobs that will agro you but they are clearly marked with swords above their heads and are easily avoided if need be.  Which also means that it can get kinda boring if you like the challenge all the time, In this game it’s not there all the time and the best place you can get it is by doing the instanced dungeon’s in the game which are pretty fun!!

Image

What i like about the game….? There is a nice selection of classes and races to play which means there’s a lot of different choices to be made. Aswell as i love the fact you can play a cute as a button looking dwarf wielding a huge rifle!! That’s a winner for me 🙂   You get heaps of goodies straight off, including the mystery box of goodies you get to open when you hit a certain lvl like in most games, although these goodies are useful, The armour set changes are pretty frequent, I hate running around for 2 weeks grinding my way thru a game waiting for the next armour set to become available to buy or aquire from a quest or mission, I like it frequent, it keeps me going and striving for the next and the next….etc.

Image

The graphics on this game are very nice, the water reflection is great and the worlds are all very different and most pretty.  Another nice feature is EVERYONE can have a mount!! You don’t have to spend real coin or grind your butt off for a month to finally get a mount, In this game there’s a few different ways of getting a mount and most of them are super easy to do 🙂  Also the leveling is fairly quick too, which means faster access to new skills and points etc which makes the game more exciting and keeps you interested longer.

Things i don’t like about the game???……….The auto run feature can be good if your in a lazy mood and don’t feel like navigating every route you have to take to get to the quest mobs, but it also can make the game too easy and boring.  Point and click…..stop….fight…..point and click…..run……stop…..fight….etc

The game is seriously lacking in the challenging department, I’m not saying i don’t like feeling all powerful when i run up to a mob and one shot it!!! BAM!!!……..Your Dead!!   Yes it is fun but after a while it does get boring 😦 zzzzzzzzz

Mostly this game is pretty fun and i havent made it to end game yet so i don’t know what it has to offer there, though i couldn’t see myself playing it in the looong term due to the challenge factor and my very short attention span 😉

So untill our long awaited GW2 arrives ( very soon, but not soon enough i say ) it will continue to try to hold my attention while I ride around on my Giant Ram and one shot everything in the area with my super HUGE rifle on my badass dwarf :).

Guild Wars 2/ Am i too Excited?

Image

So i was sitting around with some of my friends, when i asked everyone what profession and race they were planing on rolling in GW2 when it’s released? ( they have pre ordered aswell) When i got the answer………I don’t know along with a funny look!!!

I was shocked!!! This coming from people who have played the fantastic BWE, and STILL have no idea what their playing on launch.  I mean Arenanet have made it suuuper hard to decide since all the professions are so awesome to play, but surely i’m not the only one who sits there and wonder’s which class i’m going to stick with?? Which Race?? And what name am i going to use for which character???  I felt kinda silly after that answer and kept all this to myself, but i AM wondering…………Have you decided what your going to play on launch?? Profession? Race? etc?? Or am i just a madly obsessed fan who has nothing better to think about in my spare time??   If you are like me and have already roughly worked out what your rolling please share with me?? Image

I love these Sprinklers!!!

Maestia.

So on the eve of the GW2 final stress test i was bored, so i decided to check out Maestia, I had done a bit of research on the game and liked what i saw in the clips.  Again i went to record some footage of Maestia but it won’t allow it 😦

So the character creation wasn’t to great, there were a few options for hair, face and skin colour etc ( I thought it was cool i could make my person fluro blue with bright purple hair ) You have to choose between 2 factions and there are only 4 professions available at the moment, Warrior, Ranger, Mage and Cleric, just your standard classes.

So i made my character entered the game after the opening sequence to a very pretty looking game.  The graphics reminded me of Aion style, although i can’t say the same for the gameplay.  I don’t want to sound to harsh as this game is still in it’s early stages i’m guessing, but the gameplay was terrible 😦 I had a lot of lag and when clicking skills etc the game took a few mili seconds to respond, same with the camera movement etc.

One thing i did find after running around in the main city, it seems that you can enter every different section of the game world thru this main city, with portals all around for you to enter, although me being a level 5 character couldn’t enter the level’s higher than me, which is just about like every other game 😦

Also exploring around i find the city has a section for each of the four classes in it with people praying around a HUGE shrine ( you pray to receive and hand in quests in this game )

Image

This is the statue for the cleric race.

Image

Here is the Rangers Lovely shrine statue.

Image

And the impressive Warrior statue.

And then i go to check out the mage area……………………….and this is what i find……….

Image

Hmmmmm yeah??? What the????

It seems the poor mages really dipped out in the cool shrine department 😦 And what class had i chosen?             The Mage of course, hence why i rocked up to this place and was totally shattered when this is what i discovered 😦

And with that i have ended my time in Maestia, Even though i really didn’t give it much of a chance i just didn’t enjoy it at all, even after the very early stages of it i just didn’t want to log back in again.  I do think the world was very pretty, but i need more than just pretty graphics to keep me playing a game, It just felt very Clonky……..If thats even a word??

Looks very pretty 🙂

Darkblood Online.

Image

So last week i decided to check out the action mmo Darkblood by Outspark. I have tried to film it but for some reason it comes out black?? So all i have to show you is these poor quality screen shots i took 🙂

I have been playing the game for a couple of nights now and i’m really enjoying it!! It’s been named an adult mmo due to the armour or lack there of in the opening tuitorial ( they don’t leave much to the imagination ) Also maybe due to the blood splatters when you do an OverKill, which is Awesome!!!

The screen is more up and down movement but at the same time the combat relies heavily on your aim.  I love the fact you can doge up and down and past the enemy to make them miss an epic attack, they really don’t like it and get super agro at you 🙂

Character customisation is pretty minimal with a heap of people running around in the lower level’s all looking the same, which is a bummer because im big on making my character look how i want it, the more customisations the better 🙂

Image

The skill animations look pretty nice and in the skill tree you can left click to see a movie clip of how the skill animation looks when casting it, which is nice 🙂

I have found it extremely hard to find a party, which thankfully so far i have been able to solo all the dungeon’s even though they say on them recommended party size 5 players??? I stood in town for about 10 mins, advertised that i was looking for a party for this quest/dungeon and just sat there and watched the gold spammers do there thing…..their bad in this game at the moment, but if you can look past that the combat is fast, responsive and very fun.  I would check it out 🙂

My mage about to kick some butt!!
